Swim Lessons & Baseball

The title pretty much sums up this post. I hung out with Riley and Erika last week and got to go to one of Ri's swimming lessons. She does survivor swimming which essentially teaches little munchkins what to do in the water. She swims and flips over and floats on her back, then flips back over and swims some more. It's way cool and amazing to watch. The day I went it was pretty chilly outside so Riley was not so thrilled with the lesson for the day, but she was a champ and did great! Pictures to prove my little niece is quite a fish...

Along with some quality Riley time, I had some quality Boys of Summer time!!! I mentioned that I took in a few games, and here are some pictures. No actual baseball shots, just some cool pre-game stuff. Last Saturday's game was Military Day at the Ballpark, so all four branches were represented as the National Anthem was played live from Iraq. It was very cool...and to top it off, the Rangers won!

The Boys of Summer!

Well folks, it's Rangers time again and I couldn't be happier! I kicked off my usual baseball obsession this week and took in three games at The Ballpark and one here at the homestead with Lindz. Ahhh...how I love my baseball!!!! The Rangers did me proud all week as they won three out of the four games that I took in....BEAUTIFUL! And, this weekend was the Lone Star Series which is an annual tradition for Lindz and I, so it was stellar to watch Our Boys win the Silver Boot once again. That makes the Lone Star Series Record look like this: Rangers 5, Astros 3. Not bad...8 years into the series the Rangers have a nice lead!!!

I love everything about going to baseball games, and most of you already know that, but give me my moment to reflect on the beauty that is baseball: the sights, the sounds, the smells, the cool Rangers promotions, and the fans. What a great game!!! Be on the lookout for several posts and a multitude of pictures coming over the next few months!

Take me out to the ballgame. Let's go Rangers!

Farm Visit

So last week I got to join Riley and her friends on a visit to a Farm in McKinney. It was super cute to watch a handful of 18 -20 month old little people checking out the different animals. It wasn't just your standard Petting Zoo roster either....we got to check out a guinea pig, a chinchilla, a turtle, a rabbit, a ball python, a blue tongued skink, baby piggies, an albino hedgehog, some cows, goats, big pigs, and a miniature horse!

Not only were the animals adorable, but Riley's new haircut is just too cute for words!

Enjoy the pics!
